Explore the LVT we call Pale Oak. In this guide we will discuss all things Pale Oak, from the colour, the various laying patterns it comes in and the features, which make it a favourite amongst our LVT collection.
Pale Oak LVT is a very popular style in all formats. The colour is a light oak but is has a cooler and more fresh undertone, compared to some others in our collection, which have a warmer undertone. This cooler tone, makes it work well with many different shades and pairs well with popular grey shades as well as cream. Also being neutral, allows for it to be paired with many different colours and schemes. The actual variation of the Pale oak is very subtle, which means between planks, there is not much stark contrast as you would expect in more character oak floors. This ensures it works well as a backdrop to more complex interior styles and allows them to take precedent but maintain its natural authenticity and style.
As well as its subtle tonal colour, Pale Oak features many other characteristics, which add to its authenticity. This LVT has a registered emboss surface structure, which is where the surface structure (wear layer) is constructed to follow the print film layer, such as the knots and markings, to give the most natural texture you can achieve with LVT floors (see the image above). As well as this, Pale Oak has a 4 sided bevelled edge, visible on every format and the Matt surface finish gives it that natural wood finish.
Once you know Pale Oak is the perfect colour for your home, now you need to consider the laying style format you would like it installed. We offer various designs in the Pale Oak colour, from traditional planks, to more intricate designs such as panels, basket weave, chevron, herringbone, to name a few. You can also mix and match formats within your space, which is a great way of sectioning areas, but maintaining that flow with the same colour. See below the formats available as standard…
